The Department of Neurosciences at the University of California San Diego (UCSD) (http://neurosciences.ucsd.edu/) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body and is recruiting for faculty positions at the Assistant, Associate or Professor levels.

We are seeking applications from established or emerging clinician-leaders interested in developing a comprehensive multi-disciplinary headache program. The position is designed for clinicians who function well as members of broad, cross-disciplinary team and who possess the vision to implement efficient and effective models of cross-disciplinary headache care that leverage the tightly integrated health system at UC San Diego while linking with its world-class research programs. The successful candidate(s) will partner with departmental and service line leadership to implement a successful strategy to optimize the delivery of care and provide the highest quality care and services to UC San Diego patients. The candidate(s) will lead and participate in the clinical assessment and management of patients with headache, and these efforts will benefit from the outstanding clinical and scientific environment of UC San Diego and the Department of Neurosciences.

Candidates must have an MD degree or equivalent. Candidates with an MD must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California and have completed Neurology or similarly related training, and be Board eligible or certified in Neurology or related field. Candidates with an MD degree must have completed Fellowship training in headache or related specialty or have a track record of expertise in the area.

The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on the University of California pay scales. Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded.
