The Department of Neurosurgery at Stanford University School of Medicine is recruiting for a one-year Clinical Instructor position in neurosurgical trauma and spinal surgery, starting Jul 1, 2023. We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience in neurosurgical trauma and spinal surgery.

The major criterion for appointment as Clinician Educators is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative, and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. The appointment consists of extensive exposure to the surgical treatment of cranial and spinal trauma, as well as minimally invasive and complex spinal surgery. There will be ample opportunities for clinical research through well-established institutional trauma registries. Spinal training includes state-of-the-art image guidance systems, intraoperative CT, and 3D fluoroscopy.
