Clinician Educator- Comprehensive Neurology
Stanford University
School of Medicine

Are you looking for a supportive and cutting-edge practice environment in clinical neurology? The Stanford University School of Medicine Department of Neurology and Neurological Sciences is excited to announce that our Division of Comprehensive Neurology is hiring. We are privileged to provide comprehensive care to a large community of patients with central and peripheral nervous system disorders referred from within the Stanford system, surrounding Northern California regions, and beyond.

We are seeking board-eligible or board-certified neurologists to join a growing Neurology Division at Stanford Health Care as a Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor in the Clinician Educator line. Faculty rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. We are interested in recruiting candidates who will see patients in our San Francisco East Bay Area Outpatient Comprehensive Neurology Clinics in Pleasanton and Emeryville. The specific breakdown of time at each clinical site is negotiable. There is no required in-patient time or call coverage.

Responsibilities will include teaching of medical students, residents and clinical fellows. Opportunities are available to participate in research, quality improvement, and development of innovative care programs at Stanford campuses in Palo Alto and in the San Francisco East Bay.

Core faculty in the Division of Comprehensive Neurology are clinicians with a broad range of expertise. Our Division members have diverse backgrounds and expertise from subspecialty training and practice in a variety of settings. This provides a rich educational and collegial environment in which to practice and serve our patients. Based on each unique situation, we coordinate care with our team of physical, occupational, and speech therapists, neuropsychologists, neurosurgeons, and neurology sub-specialists.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Ideal candidates will have diverse clinical interests within neurology and enthusiasm for teaching the next generation of neurologists. Our comprehensive neurologists are expected to serve as attendings in the Neurology Resident Clinic, alongside faculty from subspecialty divisions, and to teach medicine and psychiatry resident and medical student rotators. Candidates must have ABPN board certification or eligibility, eligibility for a California medical license, and suitable clinical and teaching experience. Clinical and/or translational research interests are also encouraged, although not required.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:
Review of applications will be conducted on a rolling basis.
Interested candidates should send a copy of their curriculum vitae, and a statement/letter of intent outlining their clinical and academic interests to:
